Broxap Ltd is celebrated 70 years in business on 8th November 2016.
From Humble beginnings back in 1946 the company was founded by Sydney Lee using his ‘demob’ money after the end of World War 2. The firm employed only two people at its inception.
From its early production of melting aluminium to produce alloy toy guns for Woolworths through to the manufacture of castings and the production of street furniture and the purchase of Broxap Ltd. the company now operates from three sites across the UK with the headquarters being centrally located in the Midlands at Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
Today the company designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of products from a simple bollard to large scale canopy and atrium projects.
The last 70 years has seen plenty of diversification from the original casting process no longer performed on site to a more engineering and fabrication based process which has culminated in the opening of a large scale fabrication/metalworking shop and powder coating plant now in place of the old furnace and foundry.
This diverse approach to business has also seen the company move into the playground equipment and sports market places with the acquisitions of Hand Made Places and Stadia Sports respectively.
Moving forward the company offers it’s 200 plus workforce and customer base the stability and growth needed to meet new and emerging markets whilst practising its old fashioned values of providing experience, quality and technical know-how through the products and services that it provides.
May Broxap Ltd. be part of UK manufacturing for another 70 years and beyond.
