More commonly used as a reliable, safe and simple to install pipework system, Geberit Mapress has been turned into a work of art by the owners of an Italian restaurant in Wales.

The press fitting system can be used on a variety of applications, from hot water heating to cold water cooling systems, and now lighting decorations too. MDP Mechanical Services, the Cardiff-based contractors working on the refurbishment of the Villa Napoli restaurant in Penarth, were surprised but happy to oblige when the restaurateurs were so impressed by the neatness and simple installation of the pipework that they asked them to make a feature out of the leftover pipework.

The Geberit Mapress lighting decoration now takes pride of place in front of house in the restaurant, in full view of diners.
