Grand Design Blinds were specified to install pinoleum roof blinds in a new country house at the WB Estate. The W.B. Estate was recently purchased by an entrepreneur who built an impressive new country house in the private downland valley. A playroom, linking two sections of the property, adjoins the kitchen and has a glazed roof for extra light.
It was quickly discovered, however, that the new room became too hot and bright in summer, in spite of solar glass, and after considering other companies, the estate approached Grand Design Blinds and commissioned a set of roof blinds in pinoleum fabric. These are operated electrically by the unique Solo system which enables individual blinds, or groups, or all blinds to open/close via a remote handset.
The installation was completed by two fitters for speed and safety, as the roof height is substantial at 5m. The job came in on time and on budget with dates arranged to suit the familys absence on a ski trip.
