LG Arena, Birmingham

Client: Ibex
Type of works: supplied Goodsmaster 1000B goods lift

As part of a £29 million redevelopment of one of the UK’s leading arenas, a Stannah Goodsmaster 1000B goods lift is providing vital behind-the-scenes catering support to Birmingham’s LG Arena and the 800,000 visitors every year to its blockbusting concerts and sporting events.

This 1000kg goods lift with its through-car capability streamlines the movement of catering supplies between the kitchens that serve two lakeside restaurants: the ground-floor Sanctum, and the private, 400-cover Arena Suite on the first floor.

Matthew Battle, Director of Ibex, one of the largest, privately owned, specialist fit-out, refurbishment contractors in the UK, said that: “We specified the Stannah Goodsmaster 1000B for its proven performance in demanding environments. It was a cost-effective option for this design and build project, with the added benefit of a year’s warranty, courtesy of the Birmingham branch of Stannah Lift Services.”

Designed to offer the simplest, quickest, most reliable and economical solution to heavy lifting problems, the Goodsmaster 1000B is part of the Stannah Goodsmaster Classic range of goods lifts. Available in 500kg – 1500kg load capacities, with a choice of car sizes, it improves efficiency and saves time and money, making life easier for everyone involved. Larger goods only lifts with capacities of up to 3000kg are also available.

All Stannah Goodsmaster goods lifts help premises’ owners meet manual handling regulations.
