Nomow are delighted to announce successful completion of their first Primary Spaces play area at Curledge Street Academy in Paignton. Working with Wicksteed Leisure to transform the schools previously dull, grey, concrete play area Nomow have been able to provide a bright, multi use area suitable for use all year round.
Funding for the project is part of Sport Englands £18m National Lottery funded Primary School Facilities Fund which is helping more schools to provide outdoor multi-activity play areas across the country. Artificial grass has been approved as an alternative to Polymeric/Wet Pour for use in PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 Primary Play Spaces.
The investment is designed to support those schools which are in greatest need of facility improvements and will benefits both pupils at the school and the local community who will have access outside school hours. The fund aims to help schools make good use of relatively small spaces and provide facilities which are low cost but provide a degree of enclosure, colour and innovation that will:
Inspire physical activity and participation by children
Enable and encourage healthy activity
Develop the foundations of a sporting habit for life through a great start in PE and sport
