Redland has added a new charcoal grey colour to its plain tile range. The colour is proving to be very popular in Northern England ans Scotland, where darker coloured tiles are traditionally used.
To achieve this shade the tiles are manufactured using a grey through-coloured concrete over which an acrylic paint finish is applied to all surfaces. The result is a much deeper and darker grey than that achieved with pigmentation alone.
This year has seen Redland launch a number of tiles in the Charcoal Grey colour following a rise in demand. The addition of this colour to the Plain Tile range means small roofs such as bays and porches, along with vertical tiling, can now be tiled in a colour that matches interlocking tiles on a main roof.
