Working with Balfour Beatty Construction, Ahmarra have been awarded a £500,000 contract for the new Shoreham Academy in Shoreham-by-Sea.
The £30 million project, for West Sussex County Council, involves the provision of a new school complete with theatres, drama and dance studios and a sports hall with spectator seating for 450. Students will continue to study in their existing buildings until Easter 2012 and will start using the new facilities in the summer term of 2012.
Ahmarra door solutions range of high performance, FSC timber doorsets and FSC glazed screens and windows were selected in an American White Oak lacquered finish for this project.
Incorporating BM TRADA Q-Mark Certified FD30 and FD60 fire doors and up to 45 RwdB acoustic rated doorsets, Ahmarras products were ideally suited to deliver the performance requirements required for the academy.
