Spilka’s Opus range of fully reversible hinges needs only 6 modules to produce a range of windows up to 1588mm high and 2488mm wide, greatly reducing stockholding for window producers. A maximum sash weight of 55kg allows for the production of large sashes double or triple glazed. This means the manufacturer can produce the highest performance fully reversible windows – meeting the latest thermal and security requirements.

Child locks are standard enabling British construction companies to meet Secured by Design and Building Regulations. Initial opening is restricted to a maximum of 80mm and re engages when the sash reverses 180 degrees to allow the outside of the pane to be cleaned from inside the building. Outward opening windows have a weather performance advantage as the sash is made tighter against the weather gasket in the frame by increased wind pressure.
