Industrial door systems including fire curtains, fire escape doors and a roller shutter have been installed at the new Stewarton Sports facility, Stewarton, East Ayrshire by Gilgen Door Systems.

Gilgen provided nine steel fire escape doors, two fire curtains and a roller shutter door as part of the new development which opened earlier this year.

The Gilgen Firetex Fire curtains have been installed over the access to the stores from the main gym hall and provide 2-hour fire protection. Linked in to the fire alarm system, the Firetex curtains operate automatically in the event of a fire.

Steel personnel doors have been installed around the building to provide personnel access and fire escape. Fitted with panic bars, and constructed from steel, they provide an affective fire escape solution as well as increased security.

Following a successful initial installation, the sports centre management requested that we supply and fit an additional Rolegard roller shutter door over the main entrance. Constructed from solid lath, the shutter is provides out-of-hours security protection.
