Mumford & Wood has provided their timber windows and doors for a stylish barn conversion in Oxfordshire. The entire project was handled by Aylesbury based Woodstock Design & Build. The build was unusual and as the Woodstock proprietor James Sutton says, "Each day posed a complex problem, so we had to adapt our more traditional ways and bring new techniques into play as we solved each issue. There was never a dull moment!”
James Sutton started his career as a window fitter and had been aware of the quality of Mumford & Wood’s timber windows and doors for many years, which was one of the reasons they were specified. Jamie added: "With the exceptional design skills of the Mumford & Wood team, specifying their products was the obvious choice - especially considering that David & Susie had already used Mumford and Wood on a number of high-end new builds".
Susie was very satisfied with the overall quality of the products, saying:"The windows and doors are simply brilliant - it was a bold move by Woodstock’s design team to specify traditional Georgian windows in an industrial looking building. We wanted to avoid the glass walls or bi-folds typical of such a modern concept, as we have an art and photographic collection to hang and needed wall space. The windows and doors are of extremely high quality, add to that the brilliant after-sales service, snagging etc and you end up with both happy clients and contractor.”
